Bellefontaine Elementary School staff recently used a development day to attend on-site training in the PAX Good Behavior Game.

According to the PAX website, the “PAX Good Behavior Game” (PAX GBG) is a scientifically proven classroom based system that teachers use to teach skills  for self-regulation, co-regulation and self control during school and after school activities.

With the new State and National emphasis on Social Emotional Learning (SEL) in schools, the PAX GBG is a key component in the elementary school’s Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) system that will provide a universal language for staff and students throughout the school. The training provides teachers with concrete, easy to use strategies that promote peace, working together, and classroom community.
