The Bellefontaine 5th-grade girls basketball team won the Triad Classic Silver Bracket on Sunday.

The Lady Chiefs defeated West Liberty-Salem in the semifinal game and in the championship game.

Team members include: Kylie Lowe, Joelle Eaton, Naomi Dearwester, Myra Varner, Jessa Varner, Arianna Rumer, Charley Frazier, Braelynn Neer, Mia Regula, Leah Harvey, and Alivia Rogan.

They are coached by Luke Varner, Randy Varner, Kyle Rumer, and Josh Neer.

The Bellefontaine 4th-grade girls basketball team finished runner-up in the Triad Classic Gold Bracket on Sunday.

The girls beat Graham, Northeastern, and Fairbanks.

The Lady Chiefs then lost a heartbreaker in the championship game to Benjamin Logan in double overtime.

Team members include: Eliza Blinn, Devyn Hogan, Eva Irick, Emma Layman, Brooklyn Mosley, Norah Springs, Bexley Daring, Crosley Stewart, and Miley McKirahan.

The girls are coached by Brian Hogan, Jeremy Mosley, and Bryn Stewart.

Both trophies will be on display in the front entrance of Bellefontaine Intermediate School.
