One of high school baseball’s most prominent families was recently featured in two magazines detailing their many accomplishments and relationships forged on the diamond.

Bellefontaine volunteer baseball coach Mark Brunswick shared “The Brunswick Journey” in Inside Pitch.

Brunswick reflected on how baseball has taught him countless life lessons.

He also gave advice for players on and off the field.

The former Coldwater star was drafted in the third round by the New York Mets in 1984.

Lou Brunswick (Mark’s father) was featured in Collegiate Baseball.

The name of the article is “The Lessons Learned by Lou Brunswick.”

The talking points focus on team success, being coachable, respecting the game, leaving a legacy, and more.

Lou was the head coach at Coldwater for 35 years (1959-1993).

He led the Cavaliers to five state titles and 750 wins.

Lou, 92, lives in Coldwater with his wife, Ann.

They are the parents of seven children.

Mark, Tom, and Jeff played on their father’s teams, then played professionally or collegiately.

Mark was the head coach when the Chiefs advanced to the state tournament in ’04 and ’06.

After coaching at Coldwater, Lou was a volunteer coach at BHS for many years.
