The latest episode of “Chieftain Roll Call” spotlights the Bellefontaine High School girls basketball team.
Initially, the Bellefontaine High School Key Club launched the podcast in January 2022.
The newly-formed Chieftain Backers are in charge of the podcast this school year.

The weekly show focuses on BHS Athletics and student organizations.
The most recent show features Bellefontaine High School head girls basketball coach Meghan Ashcraft along with juniors Lexi Robinson and Parker Penhorwood.
Ashcraft recapped the season thus far, including a 49-36 win vs. Wapakoneta on Tuesday night.
On Thursday night (after this show was recorded), the Lady Chiefs ran past host Waynesfield-Goshen 63-35.
Sophomore point guard Quinlan Zedeker poured in a career-high 28 points along with 4 rebounds and 5 steals.
Lexi Robinson tossed in 11 points. Tiffany Boop tallied 10 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals. Parker Penhorwood added 6 points and 4 assists.
The Lady Chiefs are 9-6 overall and 1-2 in the CBC Kenton Trail Division.
Ashcraft discussed her expectations for the rest of the season and postseason.
The coach said earning a tournament win is one of the main goals.
Ashcraft praised Robinson for her blue collar play and Penhorwood for her steadying influence on the team.
Both girls reflected on the highlights and challenges this season.
BHS will host Kenton Ridge Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
